Tourism : the hiking trails and treks in the Pont-à-Mousson basin

Valleys and rivers cross through it and nature offers up its treasures: wild and quirky thanks to the diversity of its landscapes, and ever-changing colours, Pont-à-Mousson charms the lovers of sustainable tourism.

(Grand-Est region ecotourism Vincent Mûller)

Let us climb, up high, to the top of the Mousson hillock. This hill towers 200 metres above Pont-à-Mousson; at an altitude of 382 metres. The hill is crowned by the ruins of a feudal castle dating back to the XIth century, built to monitor the trafic of the old Roman Lyon-Trèves road. From this remarkable medieval village, and the old castle of the Dukes of Bar, look over the Moselle valley and the Saulnois countryside up to Metz !

Valleys and rivers cross through it and nature offers up its treasures: wild and quirky thanks to the diversity of its landscapes, and ever-changing colours, Pont-à-Mousson charms lovers of authentic nature.

It’s enough to make you want to put on your walking shoes and discover the territory on foot. You’re in luck, the Tourist Office offers a wide range of walking trails to download.
