Let us climb, up high, to the top of the Mousson hillock. This hill towers 200 metres above Pont-à-Mousson; at an altitude of 382 metres. The hill is crowned by the ruins of a feudal castle dating back to the XIth century, built to monitor the trafic of the old Roman Lyon-Trèves road. From this remarkable medieval village, and the old castle of the Dukes of Bar, look over the Moselle valley and the Saulnois countryside up to Metz !
